Very useful for our first (though hopefully not last) trip to Slovenia from USA. Accurate. Large enough to read for 60+ year olds. I removed the pages for countries that we did not plan to visit and replaced them on return.
This publication is excellent but it lacks broad overviews. As a result you have difficulty locating the appropriate pages to follow on as you travel and for someone who relies on it while traveling it is a distinct disadvantage. Plus, the grids should be referenced in a manner that allow the reader to have a clear understanding of where they are on the map and more to the appropriate corresponding pages. In light of the lack of other compilations it is probably your best alternative but cumbersome and distinctly difficult for a tourist from another country once you venture north..
As others have noted, it is occasionally hard to read the road numbers-especially in the creases. That said, it is really helpful to plan trips and make sure GPS is not leading you astray.
We had a GPS on our trip, but it couldn't distinguish between logging roads and main roads. Needless to say, we took a few scenic byways. The book was a great resource to check the GPS.
Great Atlas for traveling Croatia area. Detailed city maps also
great atlas, nice maps, well symbolized. The smallest type is a bit too small to me, but it's clear and readable. Page thickness is good.
Very hard to read names / road numbers. Not very useful.
This map helped navigate us through Croatia and Slovenia-it was more a reference than anything. We had a GPS but it is nice to see a map and get a rough idea of distance etc.
